Qu Jiuhui, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Distinguished Professor of Tsinghua University, researcher of the Research Center for Eco-Environment Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the distinguished fellow of International Water Association (IWA). He is also the Vice Chairman of All-China Environment Federation, and the Vice President of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, and the Global Water Partnership China. He is Editor-in-chief of the Environment Science News. His researches mainly cover water science, technology and engineering application, focusing on drinking water safety assurance, water purification and energy conversion, water treatment process, and basin-wide water pollution control and ecological restoration. He also leads several national research projects. He has now published over 300 papers in SCI database, published 3 academic books, and won more than 80 patents granted by China and international world for his inventions. He has won the State Technological Invention Award (2nd Class), the National Natural Science Award (2nd Class), Science and Technology Award from the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation, 4 provincial-level and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards, China Patent Award of Excellence and 2 international awards.
